Valentine's Day Acai Smoothie Bowl
I'm super duper festive and absolutely loveee any reason to get fancy and get my celebration on! Valentine's Day is a somewhat seemingly silly (wow, that was a mouthful) holiday to me - but at the same time, I think it's great to have a day dedicated to celebrating love and reminding our significant others how much they truly mean to us.
Allllll my single ladies, all my single ladies - put'cho hands up! Y'all are fabulous too! It's this very reason that I'm iffy about this holiday. I think that it singles out the people who aren't in a relationship, but you all shouldn't feel any less loved or wanted than those who are wrapped up in the mushy gushiness of flowers and chocolates and giant over-sized teddy bears. Love yourself and embrace your independence!
Smoothie ingredients:
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 cup of frozen raspberries
- 1 cup of frozen blueberries
- 1 tablespoon of acai powder
Toppings:
- Raspberries
- Raw cacao bits
- Pomegranate
- Chia seeds
Directions:
Blend all of your ingredients together. I got this amazingly cute heart-shaped bowl from Home Goods (best store EVER!) and it fit the occasion perfectly.
Pour your smoothie into a bowl, add all of your toppings to your smoothie bowl and your creation is complete!
Now, this creation is so so tasty and although I'd like to say that you should devour it all by yourself, I'll refrain and instead say that you should share it with your special boo thang (if you have one) but ONLY because it's Valentine's Day. If not, well then shoooot all the more for you! ;)
