Endless sunshine, tropical fruit bowls, and no school work - it doesn't get any better than this! This past week was my spring break and I got to spend a few fun-filled days in Nags Head, NC with my boyfriend! We stayed at a hotel with a beautiful oceanfront view, watched the sun rise and set each day, saw amazing beach views from Jennete's Pier, found gorgeous seashells along on the shore, went on a trek (or at least what we consider to be a trek) on some random dessert dune mountain, visited the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, and had some crazily delicious food (our favorite part).
The first day we got there, it was super early in the morning and we were the only people on the beach for at least a good mile. As soon as we set up camp on the beach, got all of our things situated, and sat down to get comfortable, we looked at each other and said, "Wow... it's cold" haha! We spent most of the morning wrapped up in towels and blankets like eskimos and began to think that our spring break would be a winter break part II - however, after we killed some time exploring the town and came back to the beach a few hours later, the weather was PERFECT - it warmed up to 74 degrees, the sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud in sight, and we got to kick off our spring break to an awesome start.
Our little getaway was short, but sweet for certain. We had a blast and with it being the off-season and the town being pretty quiet/slow-moving, we were able to catch up on some much-needed relaxation time.
